物業介紹

“Rent of 3,800 HKD per month for a spacious single bedroom”
Yes, I did not believe it either. “Wow! How can it be so cheap?! ” That was my first response to the price tag before I moved in last year, especially considering its convenient location, with three MTR stations nearby.
But it’s true! The unusually humane landlord had generously frozen the rent of the apartment at 9,800HKD for several years in a row, rendering its price 50% less as compared to the adjacent ones, the current rents of which are often 15,000HKD or higher.
This is a large furnished room (around 80 square feet) in a 3-bedroom apartment on the 16th floor. The building got lifts and 24-hour security. The apartment has a comfortable living room, as well as a fully equipped kitchen, and a washing machine.
Monthly rent $3800, plus two months deposit. Additional fares: Wifi (70 HKD per month per person), electricity (subject to usage), and water. Total: 4,100HKD or a little bit more per month. Moving in date is 21th March. The existing contract will be expired on 15th August but is extendable. The total time duration will be approximately 5 months at least.
In addition to the friendly price tag and the well-equipped flat, more amazing things will happen after you move in:
 (1) Convenient Public Transportation:
The location is right at the Ferry Street, a few minutes’ walk from the Yau Ma Tei MTR station and the Austin MTR station, and 12 minutes’ walk from the Jordan MTR station. Furthermore, various bus lines are available. Basically, this means that you can arrive at a lot of terrific places around 30 minutes or less (e.g., the Central or Kowloon Tong or the West Kowloon Cultural District, 30 minutes). Before, I lived in Kowloon Tong and thought it was the center of HK, but now, it is here.

(2) Marvelous Cultural Attractions:
This is my favorite part. Indeed, I’ve been hoping that this will be yours too :).
Within a 7 or 8 minutes’ walk, you can watch a surprisingly pleasant indie movie in the Broadway Cinematheque (one of the best in HK), enjoy a cozy reading afternoon in the Kubrick bookstore + café (maybe the coolest in HK), savor juicy seafood in the Temple Street, taste the freshest strawberries in the Yau Ma Tei Wholesale Fruit Market, appreciate the elegant jades in the Jade Hawker Bazaar, or immerse yourself in the graceful Cantonese opera in the Yau Ma Tei Theatre.
What’s more, if you are willing to walk a slightly longer distance, you can relish a flouring cultural feast at the Hong Kong Culture Center (dramas, musicals, symphony, etc.), and feel the comforting touch of the sea breeze by the Victoria Harbor. (30 minutes’ walk, or 20 minutes with MTR)

(3) Restaurants and Shopping:
Countless nice restaurants nearby, among them, those alongside the Temple Street and the Ferry Street might be the best known.
One or two minutes’ walk to the Mannings, the Parknshop, the 7-11, and various local stores.
The wet market at the Reclamation Street is abundant with fresh seafood, vegetables, fruits, meats, and snacks. A wide variety of cooking utensils is also conveniently available around.

Who are We Expecting?
Basic: tidy, nice, and easy-going; no smoke, no alcohol, no pet, no couple.
Better if you love art (e.g., dramas, poetry), study social sciences, or concern about public affairs.
So maybe you can drop me a line to tell me something about you. But if you do want to, that is okay. We can talk later, right? :)

Roommates:
Your future roommates include a young lady and a young man (me :)). Both of us work at universities and are doing social science research. Besides, I am an art lover and always fervent to explore the hidden beauty of the city by walking through the winding alleys. Finally, I have an extensive and joyous experience on sharing a flat with people from divergent backgrounds: NGO workers, activists, Latinos, Non-Hispanic whites, Brits, Americans, females, and males… So, you are welcome!
